Freedtown Historical Marker

FREEDTOWN HISTORICAL MARKER. This marker, which was dedicated on Feb. 21, 2004, is situated on Fort King Road between Dade City and Zephyrhills. The marker was originally at Fort King Road and Bozeman Road; however, after it was damaged it was moved to Fort King Road and Covington Road. In 2021 the marker was reported missing. The name “Freedtown” may be a modern term, as it has not been found in any old documents.
