Pioneer Life Exhibit

Even though West Pasco County – particularly New Port Richey – during the early 1900s was depicted as a ritzy destination for famous people, and a land of plenty for northerners wanting to start a new life, most residents led a rather mundane existence. They farmed, cut lumber, operated businesses, and worked hard to survive.

A portion of our museum is devoted to displaying everyday items used by these pioneers – tools, toys, furniture, kitchen utensils, and much more. These displays help us to understand how people in the past spent their time and lived their everyday lives.
